ok...so I had set April 1st as my D-Day for quitting smoking...the trouble was, early the day before...I ran out...GRRR...so guess what I did...yea you guessed it I went out and brought another pack...WELL my justification was that it wasn't D-Day yet....so I simply had to get more to see me through...hehehe (wicked thing that I am) But now the plot thickens because April 1st came and went and I still have a newly brought pack of smokes taunting me whenever my hand dips into my handbag and ya think I can just throw them out!...Doh... That would be a waste...hehehe! I am not 'putting it off' you know. I have VALID reasons! So today I have formulated my own QUIT method...and it is VERY scientific...
You know what everyone says about exercise and how to build up your fitness...you take one lamp post at a time...and then the next day you run to the next lamp post every day increasing...I have decided to try that out with smoking...so I am going cold turkey using a sort of 'Matrix'
Here's how it works...at the moment I have a smoke every hour give or take a couple...hehehe! At 4pm this arvo (its 5.08pm now) I had a smoke which means I am due to have another any minute now... Hang on...before I go any further I am just going out for a puff!....
Ok I am back now...where was I? oh yea the scientific way to QUIT so I have had my smoke for this hour...now I have to wait 2 more hours before I can have another one and then I have to wait 3 hours to have the next one after that etc. etc. Once 24hrs, of doing this, is up I then have to wait 1 day before the next and then 2 days etc etc...and then when 7 days are up I have to wait one week then two weeks...are ya with me! Or have I just confused the hell out of you? I am going to map it in my calendar so that you can keep up with my progress. Using this formula I have worked out .by end of March 2057 ( 78yrs old) I should be officially smoke free...or dead....which is the same anyhows...You do the maths...it REALLY works...well...hmmm...we shall see...
I have updated my calendar for the first year so that you can see when I am due for my next smoke and I will hold myself accountable to you guys for sticking with the program. After all, who knows I may end up writing a best seller book about his new QUIT smoking self help method and make myself a whack of $$$$... Woohooo! It is in my interest then to make SURE it works. Money is a powerful motivator! Well, I guess I'll start tomorrow!...hehehe... only kidding! The Cold Turkey Matrix Revolution has already begun! ...I might think about changing the name.
